Gift suggestion

Hello All,

A friend of my brother is visiting India in a months time, My brother wanted to send me a gift. Lucky me :). Budget about USD100.

I am a techie, avid reader etc. But there is nothing that I really want from US that is already available in Indian market, may be little expensive (laptops, networking equipment, tv entertainment, camera).

Airgun was my first choice. But not sure the guy visiting India can actually manage it. So I have turned to fellow enthusiasts for advice.

Note- Budget is not a problem, as I was planning to get Walther Dominator 1250 when my brother himself is coming. Except that the passenger should not have any trouble with the customs.

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest a good folding knife from benchmade, syderco, cold steel etc. Pick something with a higher end stainless steel. Since they are normally small in size(4 inch blade length), you can have them on or near you which comes handy pretty often...
Would have suggested a fixed blade but i am starting to discover how convenient folders can be. Heck, if i were you, I'd give him a few hundred more and asked to get a bunch of them
Especially considering you will save on cost by a substantial amount.

Thank you Vikram, Kshitij.

I already have 2 scopes for my IOF .22 Rifle. Folding knife is something I would love to have in my inventory. Buy a few is not a problem, but the passenger should not be in trouble.

Well, I still dont understand why people perception change when they look at some holding hunting/tactical knife (Tu rowdy hai kya look on the face) compared to kitchen knife.  .

More suggestion are highly appreciated.. Thanks

Non Rowdy folder that is least likely to get the passenger in trouble, brilliant design(if you are ok with the scale colour) and steel to boot.

Look up knife center and see what suits your budget. Many good options from multiple makes. Shortlist ones you like and i'd be glad to give my 2 cents in helping to decide :)
