Brave and Selfless Police Man Jumps Off A 20 Feet Bridge Without A Second Thought.
Kumbh Mela is being held in Nasik these days. A big congregating of Hindu devotes to take bath in Godawari, it happens every 12 years.
It is a gathering of 10s of millions pilgrims rushing to take bath and casualties, stampede is major risk. In 2003 around 29 people lost their lives. Police have made meticulous arrangements this year to avoid and such accident. However police was not ready for the kind of incident seen here, a man jumped off a bridge to take his life.
A devotee attending the Kumbh Mela in Nashik in Maharashtra tried to kill himself by jumping off a bridge into the waters of the River Godavari below. Manoj Barahate, the policeman on duty there went too far on the line of duty and jumped into the river after him to save the man’s life. It is a sheer bravery to jump off 20 feet high bridge to save someone’s life.
On Twitter, Praveen Gedam, the top official of the local corporation, said the police office had jumped off “a 20-feet-high bridge”.
Wish every cop does similar work and does not differtiate people based on their power, money or religion .
