Poor guy got his metrics and Imperials all mixed up!!!
Nice idea, though! Make a gun for women, very few of whom will be allowed a license. So all the unused inventory can be sold off for peanuts to the "favourites".

Maybe it is easier for women to get a license, as the women safety issue is being highlighted.

I didn't get you, what are you surprised at?
Well, I had read many news articles about the original Nirbheek revolver when it was launched. The reaction of the media, so-called NGOs and women rights organizations and a large section of the public as well as the hindrances faced by women in acquiring this revolver made me feel how the law abiding citizens of both the neighbouring countries face almost same problems in excercising their right to self defense, though the problem is more acute in your country. Here also, the state arms manufacturer produces weapons for civilians but the the people face problems in getting an arms license. The media also demonizes weapons, saying they would lead to anarchy, not caring about millions of illegal arms present in the country. Then there are NGOs hell bent upon depriving the people of their right. And last but not the least, the majority of the public living in the cities is indifferent to this issue, thus emboldening the government to continue with its colonial era gun laws. You people are very lucky to have a gun rights organization; something badly needed over here. Mr Abhijeet and all other people who made it happen deseve kudos

Armed Defense what surprises
TwoRivers AND many of us here, is the rather large size of the shell 510 mm/5.1 cm/2 inches - quite a cannon - what?
Bombard-Mortar Of The Knights Of Saint John Of Jerusalem, Rhodes 1480-1500.. Caliber 510 mm
Not to worry, it is just a joke on the correspondent's accurate reporting and knowledge of caliber nomenclature! Not that I really blame him - calibers can be pretty confusing.

@ckkalyan
510mm is the length of the barrel. There are many 12 gauge shotguns with 510 mm barrel length, which equals to 20 inches. .22mm was really a joke
.

I am sure my intention was to "announce" the arrival of a super companct 0.22 calibre pistol. But now I think this thread rightfully belongs to the humour section.

Editor and the journo has no idea about what they are writing.
They might have thought that people who have some basic knowledge about guns will understand, people who dont HOW DOES THIS ARTICLE EVEN MATTER?
And finally MHA and factories are launching new models. We have be more than happy for that...

In our country, if a woman wakes up and decides she wants to exercise her right to self defense, the only hindrance she faces is deciding which shoes to put on before walking to the gun shop.

That is understandable and acceptable. In our country she would rather avoid going herself so that she can blame the husband if anything is not to her liking in the future. She would make your life miserable to get ready fast, as she is already ready to go.
Then when you are about to walk out of the house she will settle down in front of the mirror and decide what kind of make up she wants then she is ready to go but at the last minute she will change her shirt and blame you for making her late,
