When I was in class 9, I lost a watch that my father had gifted me. I was so unhappy, that I decided that I never wanted to wear a watch again. And life continued.

Till, a few days ago, I had an epiphany and decided to look for a wrist watch for myself. Obviously had to tell time. But to me, it only seemed fair that it should do a lot more.

After some research, soul searching, lots of inspiration from Choombak, Lanceman, Moin, Bruno22....I decided to take the plunge. So here are the pictures of my arm candy. It is almost the swiss army knife of wristwatches

I am sure that all of us, have a penchant for tactical, muscular watches....lets see yours.

I would say not very tactical but both the watches have chronograph feature.
1) The left one is Rado

2) The right one is a Victorinox with a digital chronograph

Both the watches have scratch resistant sapphire glass and are water resistant upto 100m.

L-R- Citizen Skyhawk eco drive w/auto synchronization, Citizen Alterna w/ internal E6B slide rule and auto synchronization (unfortunately Japan only), Citizen eco-drive BM8180 Military.

All joking aside, it has been quite a bulletproof watch. One of these days I might purchase a genuine WW2 issue A11, but on the other hand it is all just "stuff" unless there is a personal meaning somewhere......

Among the dozen wrist watches I own these 3 occupy a pride of place in my modest collection…

This is a 100% SEIKO ‘fully automatic’ assembled in India by ALLWYN - Gifted by my parents on my 40th birthday – Today after 37 years it still keeps good time!


This one is a CITIZEN Eco Drive – Acquired when it entered the Indian market more than 15 years ago – Right on time since then!


This one is a ‘Special Edition’ brought out by Titan back in the 90’s with JRD Tata’s signature embossed on the dial…Now a collector’s item…Circulated among senior managers in Tata companies…I happened to be a lucky beneficiary!
