Indians For Guns

Dear members,

It has been on the cards for sometime to redesign the logo of our very own RKBA representative organisation,National Association for Gun Rights India( NAGRI).

Thanks to our member Nagarifle's endless goading and unmatched skills of persuasion ( ) verging on the lines of incessant harassment, we have finally managed to get the things going.

I am sure there are many experts and amateur enthusiasts amongst us who are proficient with computers and graphics designing or at least know someone who is. We request all of you to come up with your designs and submit them on this thread. We do have something nice in our mind for the person whose design will become the new logo of NAGRI.

So ladies and gentlemen, please get your creative juices flowing and share your creations here. Lets see what you have to offer.We will really appreciate your inputs and thank you all in advance.

Doc, thats is IFG and not NAGRI but it does gives one ideas

i think that it should have NAGRI web address on it

Please check this one. Right now its black & white but it can be multi coloured as suggested.

Nice, but I think we need to tone down the 'agression' a bit... staring down the barrel of a gun conveys a slightly militant stance which at this time is probably best avoided.

Where it says:

* How & why was NAGRI formed?

The Right to Keep & Bear Arms was promised to all Indian citizens as a Fundamental Right throughout the freedom struggle and post-independence it was finally enshrined as a Legal Right as per the Arms Act 1959. However, beginning in the early 1980's and continuing to date, several amendments have been made to the original Arms Act 1959 & Arms Rules 1962, which have in effect left the common citizen defenceless and at the mercy of all manner of criminals & anti-national elements.

This policy of "creeping disarmament" of law abiding citizens, prompted a group of public-spirited citizens to collect together in January 2010 to form NAGRI, with the goal of ensuring that every Indian citizen's right to own & carry arms to protect themselves is upheld.

Their current logo has these words: Civil Rights : Dignity : Self Protection

I am unfortnately not so good at playing around with images - I do have a suggestion, an idea.

I thought using the arms of the old East India Company as a base around which a new logo could be designed for NAGRI. It would truly be quite 'tongue in cheek' for NAGRI!

Oh, I can visualize where all the letters of NAGRI would fit on top, then the lions holding the Indian flag, then images of guns replacing the ships and then finally Civil Rights, Dignity and Self Protection at the bottom if you like in Latin or Devanagri.
