Will be very useful for soldiers and LEOs. Wonder when the Indian Army and cops will get it?

one has to read this carefully, what it does a tamponage, same as extra dray, etc used by ladies, same principle, noting new in it that but use of injected sponge is new and good news. it does not heal the wound but stops blood ruining ones uniform etc.

Tampons are actually part of many SF personal medikits, if what I read on the net is to be believed. It just prevents you from bleeding to death (the term, I believe, is "haemorrhaging") till a proper medic turns up. Of course, if the bullet wound is serious enough, bleeding to death might be a kinder option! But then, "triage" is not really a politically correct term!!

true tampons are used, but not every brand the one which is like a long stick, when unfolded it can contain lot of fluid when applied with some pressure. the difference now is that a sponge can be injected in the wound area to control/stop bleeding. {which is way different to the sound bit of "gunshot wounds to be healed in 15 seconds" if it could it would indeed be a miracle]

As you say, Naga; Sterile tampons and sanitary napkins are regulalry carried by SF soldiers, at least in the US. They use them to plug wounds and stop bleeding temporarily.
As Esdee mentions, they have been doing this for years.
Nothing new here.
As it comes from from a medical equipment manufacturer, it will probably cost 100 times what a tampon would cost in a super market.
