could a right to own arms law in india like the usa have prevented the corruption that is now in our country because i feel that the only persons who are not threatened by this corruption are the ones that are feared(not respected) by the rest like everyone else including me a common working class man
the corruption is of any kind bribery, laws, communal, name whatever u want .could the guns or arms have made everyone in this country equal and give more respect to eachother and be a more civilized society and be a more "mature society" like all these guys who oppose this law wants us to be

Might create some fear and worry in the minds of corrupt to deal with armed population. What if the other person goes desperate and does something kind of worry. Remember most of the population is usually simple minded and ignorant. The corrupt are very clever, they benefit by status quo. They twist the matter, allure or bribe the leaders of popular movements and do propaganda to mould public opinions to the protect status quo.

Unless the armed population is well organized in a disciplined manner, to act as a cohesive force under uncompromisable command and control, it can't do much to suppress corruption. For command and control to work, you need reliable leaders and independent communication systems in place. Internet and mobile phone communications can be easily monitored or stopped by the corrupt governments.
