Hey you, yes you stop reading this post and post something. Write a story, a joke or anything to do with life in general also. I mean you don't have to cradle a rifle every night to qualify, c'mon get talking this board is meant for fun loving people. Its getting tiring to just hear six voices and the four in my head .

Even I thought of writing this one of these days...........we might have grown in strength but I used to find more information on the forum when we were just half the strength.........or may be i visit less since travelling takes away most of my time.(Hope the post dosent offend anyone)

Dear Members, Hi.

Its that time of every 3rd year when i have go to get my arms licence renewed for another 1000 cozy, warm, gun happy days. Reminds me of the last time i went for it, one of the clerks commented to another clerk type; "this guy is one of those guys who comes around once every 3 years for renewal and in between he simply keeps all his guns in safe-custody of a gun shop. We wont be seeing him untill his time comes again."

The clerks comment made me wonder where was it he was coming from. Did he say that by just looking at me or because he did not know any better. If he knew that i am someone who goes to bed with a loaded gun, maybe he would have thought twice before sending me & mine into another 3 year safe-custody stint.

Knowing how a careless statement can get one into trouble, i did not bother to respond to their chit-chat. It would have been fun to watch his expression had i let him know that my gun has drawn blood & has been used in self defence. Or that i have a strong tendency to simply blast away for some good old fashioned fun. Like i love to ring in the new year with a full clip for good luck!!

But of course its prudent to keep my trap shut in & around them Babu's and their hi-powered smudgy rubber stamps. For me its a compliment that i am able to make them think like they do about me. The renewal process is smooth and i can come out grinning ear-to-ear knowing that i am once again untouchable for another 1000 days....Whooopeeee

I think the guy was just baiting you as you hadn't been running from pillar to post to say increase your cartridge quota, get an all India etc.

Business must be bad for them. So I think it was wise of you to let them buy the safe custody story. I hope your shotgun doesn't lie on the same bed. . Sleeps with gun would be new name then.
