A soldier has to raise the issue of right to life ??? OMG.....
This is most upsetting to me and not just because I am an aviation enthusiast.....

I absolutely support that Officer.
Officers are not afraid to die for their country, but its obvious that corrupt government is supplying spares for jets and not retiring the age old and unreliable jets like MiG-21, Which has been retired in Russia since 1985..
Many incidents have taken place in which Pilot's life has been compromised because of these shameful reasons...
Still in many incidents, pilots ignored risk to their lives and crash landed the jet even in 100% technical failure , saving civilians and ended their own lives.
This is how defense scenario is in our country... Brave officers, coward administration/Government who cannot support Officers properly.
and they keep yelling 'Join IAF for brilliant future'

In almost every conflict since 1948, the same scenario has been repeated.
These guys risk their lives in flying the coffins. And not only the lives of a few very bracve men - these are our so-called "frontline air defense" squadrons! God forbid we are ever invaded by any country with a decent airforce!

These are obsolete aircraft and many young pilots have lost their lives due to crashes. Spares for these aircraft which have gone out of production are also not available. It was a very good aircraft when introduced no doubt but should have been grounded long back. Its surprising that the senior officers of the IAF not proposing this and why a Wing Commander has to go to court to ground these antiques
