Tsunami in the hills - 70,000 missing

Folks, a lot of people have lost their lives due to what is being called "tsunami in the hills". A moment of silence for the departed souls.
I hope all IGFians in the region are OK, as well as their families.
I did have a few of my relatives, all middle aged, all ladies except one, en route to Kedarnath. After spending a couple of nights on buses, etc., they are now moving back from Haridwar to Delhi. My colleague in charge of sales for that area trekked, in formal shoes and with a laptop, about 30-40 km up & down hills. They were the lucky ones.
The count of missing is 70,000 as per the newspapers. Many bodies would have been washed away or buried under landslides.
We can only imagine the plight of the people whose families are among the missing.
I was wondering if we could help in some way.
