Why not utilize these rapists as a bait to capture Man Eating Tigers and Leopards a few times before eventually hanging them.
Just a thought.

Talk about cruelty. Why someone would get kicks by such torture, i'll not understand. Capital punishment, I can understand; but it is this cruelty I can not understand.

I don't think anyone should be taking such a drastic step either...

The victim's brother is now going to get a harsher punishment than the rapists!

I can understand the anger, frustration which is very much evident...but at the end of the day we live in a civilized country...Applying code of Hammurabi I.e. "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" (lex talionis) is not the solution for these kinds of acts of barbarism...If we behave in similar manner (torturing etc) what will be the difference between them and us...it's time to raise your voice against these kind of acts...compel the government to make more stringent laws...ask for disposal of these kind of cases in fast track court...moreover stand up against anyone who disrespect women...whether its your neighbor or your friend...Most of these people(criminals) have typical mindset, they grow on insecurities and vulnerability of fairer sex...Let them know that no female in this country is alone...

Have any of you actually spoken to someone who has been raped?

Yes, not one but many as an attending physician during my internship days...
Also add to that cases of vitriolage, young married women being burned alive by their wicked in laws and not to mention innumerable women getting admitted after being beaten up by their drunkard husbands..

Then you must know what it feels like to look at them like that.
