RTI Online application

Post by StampMaster » Fri Apr 12, 2013 11:28 pm

Hello IFGians,

Good news.. now we can file RTI (Right to Information) online from http://www.rtionline.gov.in. Fee for filing is Rs 10 and can be payed online using credit, debit card or internet facility, it will be handled by SBI payment gateway.

By the end of the month, this service will be extended to all the ministries.

New post: Thanks to Aruna Roy and Arvind Kejrival for making RTI a national law.

Cheers

Hello IFG,

Though RTI application is made online, at present its limited to only one department- Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) only. Hope this this online RTI will extend to all other departments soon.

Free online course on RTI is available at- http://rtiocc.cgg.gov.in developed by Center for Good Governance.

There are 2 courses- 7 day and 15 day available. The website has guidelines in how to enroll and fulfill the criteria to complete the course.

It took me 2 hours to finish the 7 day course.

Note- email id's with gmail domain have some problem in receiving the registration verification mail.
