Thanks for posting this. The news piece says that it is especially designed for the protection of women and to be used by them. It also says that a proposal has been sent to the relevant ministry to offer a subsidy if purchased by women.Made of titanium alloy it seems.Weight 500 gm.
Best-
Vikram

I looked at the photo in the newspaper and then I did a double take. It clearly says "Lady Smith" on the revolver.
It looks like someone just posted a photo of the Smith & Wesson 36 "Lady Smith" revolver.
They couldn't even be bothered to photoshop out the name. Now that's lazy.

A titanium alloy revolver , weighing 500 gms , with a six round capacity .... I am sure it chambers .454 casull "smart" ammo which will find it's intended target even if the shooter happens to shoot the firearm in the wrong direction . Maybe there is a provision of a concealed Laser Sight , Night Vision targeting system , or something like a EOTech Red Dot , which would pop out of the frame when we would shoot and then immediately pop back in just before we holster the weapon back , and God knows what ...
Apparently , there is no end to BS as to what some newspapers would print to fill up their space . Makes for a good laugh on a Monday morning though

Maybe they are trying to indicate that the factory has established an equal opportunity hiring program and that women -- "lady smiths" are making the new weapon?
sorry, couldn't resist
