Its a good proof on viability and effectiveness of M1 Carbine then the fact it was also used in Vietnam..but I have read the same comments that it was a failure in Korea...surprisingly wasnt the same gun used in European theater in Winter. Unless Korea was more frigid than Europe . I still love this gun it saw my family through bad times with a damaged magazine
