May Your Soul Rest in Peace........

Post by hvj1 » Sat Dec 29, 2012 9:07 am

In the wee hours of the morning,
in a distant land,
A soul has quietly departed.
Who were you?
How did you matter to me so much, that I should silently weep on your passing.
Were you my sister? My mother or the daughter I never had ?
Neither,
Then why? Why do I feel such pain in your passing...
May Your Soul Rest in Peace
While I silently contemplate the fate of my own.

Sad news indeed, may she rest in peace and lets hope people take heed of what happened and raise their voice to DEMAND arming our women.

May she rest in peace. What a sad day for the country and a real shame on the law and order system of the world's largest democracy.

That is sad !!!
A young Indian woman who was gang-raped and severely beaten on a bus died Saturday at a Singapore hospital, after her horrific ordeal galvanized Indians to demand greater protection for women from sexual violence that impacts thousands every day.

She "passed away peacefully" with her family and officials of the Indian Embassy by her side, Dr. Kevin Loh, the chief executive of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, said in a statement.

Sickening and Shocking !!!!
The frightening nature of the crime shocked Indians, who have come out in the thousands for almost daily demonstrations. Indian television channels said security had been tightened in New Delhi on Sunday in anticipation of more protests following the woman's death.

The protesters are demanding stronger protection for women and the death penalty for rape, which is now punishable by a maximum of life imprisonment.

Women face daily harassment across India, ranging from catcalls on the streets, groping and touching on public transport to rape.

I wish her soul rests in peace but dont think she can rest in peace till those 6 accused and similar people are convicted & punished.

What a sad story, poor woman! I feel like all of us have been robbed -- as if all of us are poorer because of her loss.

Hopefully, enough pressure will be brought to bear, that such outrages will not be tolerated in the future.

I cried today for her and hope the "animals" get their punishment but the scene is not changed completely.
The girls are local commodities and you should see how they look at them on the road and everywhere else.
I stayed in Bangalore, Hyderabad and now in trivandrum and the situation is same every where..people can rape any girl by their eyes if at all they don't get a chance to do it physically..I am scared for my family today.

See another news from NDTV :
http://www.ndtv.com/article/cities/your ... herstories

No one is trained how to handle the situation and there should be a All Party meeting to give the capital punishment against any such crimes against woman.

I am deeply sad today...

Note : How much we remember the 16 mob assault in Assam few months back on the street for that girl? May be she alive but her heart still bleeds..
What is the latest news on that main crime person? why no updates?

media also sells the latest garma garam news to get the TRP..

Rest in peace, brave lady!

My heart bleeds for you, and for the country......
lets hope people take heed of what happened and raise their voice to DEMAND arming our women.
Second that. Nothing else can stop this orgy of rape and violence.
Cheers!

Did'nt know what to say since getting the news in the morning......

Similar outrages took place even after this brave soul was fighting it out in the hospital. There will be many more repeats.

And what will the power that be do about it ?

Tell females to stay indoors and avoid getting in such threatening situations ? Oh but has'nt that been advocated already ?

And what will we the people do about it ?

With the fickle memories that we have as a people, forget it and continue participating in the daily rat race to just survive ? Discuss it in offices as one of the topics and then move on to talk of cricket, corruption.....blah....blah....blah........

WTF can we do about not having such repeats ? What ??????

Don't know what will it take TcDa, people have a short term memory. This will be remembered as long as this is flashed on 24X7 new channels and in the papers until the next horrible incident happens which shakes the conscience of an entire nation. What happened during Jessica Lal Murder case, people forget easily TcDa, life will go on. That's the sad part.
