Here is a little tidbit I wrote.

The Dam Site

Once upon a time, a small community decided to build a dam on a river, that their little town stood on, they argued vocally about the location of the project, those on the upper end wanted it built there, those on the lower felt it absolutely had to be built there, finally after much bitter arguement, and extreme hard feelings, construction began on the upper end of town, those at the lower end were so bitter they refused to participate, with materials, and labor, and after taking twice as long to construct, it was finally done, however it was not nearly as grand of of a dam, as had been planned. It was not as tall as needed, and not nearly as thick, but everyone was tired, and decided it would just have to do. The winter rains came, and were much more than usual in their amount, the dam gave way, and washed the whole town down the river. When all the survivors had gathered what they could, and rallied together to survive the winter, they began in earnst to build the much needed dam, this time they were a team, and worked tiresly, and did not scrimp on materials. The dam went up quickly, was twice as high, and twice as thick, and was completed sooner than was expected, as an added safety precation the dam was moved to the lower end of town, and everyone was happy.

The end

No wait, there is more.

The moral of the story is,

After everyone was through with their labor of love, and stood admiring their fine new dam, the leader of the town decided, and everyone agreed, that "the new dam site, was a dam site better, than the old dam site!"
