Indians For Guns

Has anybody on this forum from India tried implementing the hardware part(transceiver, analog to digital converters and supported circuitry required for interfacing with the host computer) of Software Defined Radio/GNU Radio? If yes what was the approximate cost?

I haven't but I too am extremely interested if anyone here has done this.
