Indians For Guns

Hi all,
Having left with no other alternative I decided posting the sad story of mine.

As I was in need of imported air rifle I entered into a business deal with Sauer202ind on good faith and belief. The gist of whole episode is as follows:

Sauer202ind has been most active member selling imported air-rifles which is known to all. On 22.7.2011 replying to my enquiry via PM regarding Diana air rifle, he offered me Diana Model 35 in .22 cal brand new in box for 55k. I requested him to post pictures, which I received via his email id [email protected] on 24.07.2011. Satisfied with the pictures I tried to bargain through series of SMS (His cell No. given to me is 9935447581). Lastly he agreed to sell it to me for 52k (excluding shipping). I requested him to give his bank details for making payment which he gave me the Account details in the name of Shri Dennis Matthew of ICICI, Ajmer branch bearing a/c No. 018501527070 on 16.08.2011. I happily deposited 52k at ICICI, Itanagar branch on 18.08.2011. On informing about the payment he instantly confirmed the receipt of payment and promised me to send the parcel by week end, as I was told that he was out of town then. I have been waiting for the parcel for over one month, but till today he hasn't dispatched. I am also unable to make a contact with him on his Mobile No. 9935447581. He neither answers my calls nor replies to my SMS and E-mails. Though, I have received couple of SMS replies in which he assured me to deliver the parcel but all the deadlines has went in vain. I am running out of patience. I do not understand what to do, though there are many options -which is premature. Moderator/Administrator and IFG frens please advice.

The ID sauer202ind was banned on 29-30th August (or thereabouts), as it was found that this was a duplicate ID of IFG member denzilmatthew. IFG has a strict no duplicate ID policy and denzilmatthew was informed of the same and advised to use his original ID.

Considering the above I can understand if PM's sent to sauer202ind would have gone unanswered (as that particular ID was banned), however you mention that you have been trying to contact him via e-mail/ mobile phone. The seller owes you an explanation along with the air-rifle.

sorry to hear about the raw deal. sad to say but looks like its lost deal. hope the seller does the right thing.

If he doesn't he could face criminal charges and besides possible jail time, he is looking at the possibility of loosing his arms licenses and forfeiting any chances of ever participating in any shooting sports. This is of course assuming that the buyer registers a criminal complaint against him.

hope it does not come to this, but the buyer needs to recover what he can. its a shame to read such attics from the forum members. just hope the seller has understanding and does the right thing.

the question i ask myself is this, would i take it further via going to the police etc? i think i would and ask for the full penalty under the law.
just hope all turns out for the best.

Anybody who had some successful business deal with Denzil Matthew alias Sauer may plse throw some more light. Would be grateful if some body gives me his address or his whereabouts. I want to write a letter to him or to his parents. I am really upset with him for not attending to my calls. Inviting further advice plse bcoz I don't think Sauer would contact me. My thanks to Abhijeet and Nagarifle and others for throwing light on Sauer.Actually, our deal was made on 18th August, 2011 before his id got banned. I request all to help me. Alas! Sauer himself is the right person to help me out.

Thanks a lot Jonahpach. I am surprise, rather thrilled to see IFGns giving me feedback via sms/PM/emails, its really unexpected. I got more than what I required. But now it seems things are coming again on the track. Last night to my utter surprise Denzil contacted me (for the first time albeit) and told me that as the courier service (gati) was not accepting air rifle that's why he was unable to send the parcel for such a long time. I would rather take this excuse as a fooling tactics, bcoz he could have told me much earlier when I was trying via sporadic calls/sms. He also told me that he would be speaking again with gati service on saturday. I requested him to settle it by sunday. If nothing positive comes by sunday, shall speak his wife and dad. No pain if i get the material though with much delay. Believe me I really have a sleepless night for that over one month. I wish Denzil do justice and shoot safe and well.

great news, there are other courier service, try surface mail as well.

I've spoken to Denzil as well on this issue. I hope things will get resolved amicably, pretty soon !

Let me clarify that I am no friend of Denzil but the fact is that both GATI and Safex refused to carry the stuff which I had bought in Hyderabad. I had asked Naga about it and he said it sould not happen that way and that if you send it by surface transport even Speed Post will send it.Give him some time. The issue is more for the North East. Hope you get it soon.

SHOULDNT DENZIL/ SAUER,CLARIFY THESE ISSUES BEFORE TAKING MONEY FROM FRIEND HERE?----------.OR IS IT STILL "BUYER CAVET" ,funny though Mr D/Sauer started calling back after most of the phone no's of his family were published,he does owe an explanation here and an apology to the buyer.

I have seen that Mr. Sokkri has written that I am not responding to his call and all my personal details are flashed on the forum. So I just want to tell you that I don't know way sometime back in june or july I have post in sale section some stuff which was already sold I forgot to mention it on the forum that it is sold, he PM me saying that he want to buy I told I have already sold it (FOR PROOF MOD'S YOU CAN GO THROUGH MY PM'S)then I told him one stuff is there but let me find out he said I want to do business with you and sended me PM saying that he wants the details to deposit the money I told him wait for proof I am sending you the mail information

After 20 days that to repeatedly he was sending me mails and sms I told him to deposit the money by sending the details of the account but still I told him that courier are not excepting the parcel still he insist that try some other courier and by finding all these my father became ill so was busy with him and unfortunately after Eid I don’t what has happened that the courier’s stop sending any Air Rifle. But still since that gati person told me to wait till Sunday so yesterday only I contacted him saying that by Sunday I will send you the parcel. But since today morning I am seeing that he has posted all rubbish stating that I am not responding to his call. Inspite I am sending him the repeated sms saying I will contact him whenever I get some news from the courier chap or free.

So please mod's do see that no contact details should be mentioned on the forum openly.

I have also seen that like Mr. Sokkri who I think is an little illiterate because repeatedly reminding by the moderators that don't post the personal detail on the forum openly my friend Mr. Jonahpach is also the same by flashing the details openly.

I have also seen that some of you have written that they want to log a police complain against me. Please do try this also and see if any thing happens?

If I would have read this post before talking to Mr. Sokkri in the evening things would be totally different. Anyway I have told him to return his money back not sending any stuff to him and no more contact with him.
