DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): In view of the reporting of an outbreak of ‘Bird Flu’ worldwide, the Wildlife Wing of Nagaland has hereby cautioned all the public not to indulge in capturing and eating of the migratory birds found in the State especially Amur falcon which are hoarding in the localities of Doyang Dam, Changtongia and certain parts of Zunheboto during October to November every year. This was informed in a press note issued by T. Lotha, Chief Wildlife Warden, Nagaland, Dimapur. In order to escape the extremities of the climate, these birds migrate from Germany and Mongolia to Nagaland and go back to their native habitats, the press note informed while adding that these birds, if consumed may cause health hazards due to their wide ranging migratory in nature.
