Toyota LandCruiser

My first post.
I thought it only fitting that my first-post should be
to the 4x4 topic... if I am to use the ID=toyfj40.
I have a Toyota LandCruiser 1978 model FJ40.
The motor and drive-train are fine, but needs some body-work
which I am hoping to accomplish as time and funds permit...
I am a Life-Long US/Texan.
If survival-hunting or self-defense is ignored,
my "favorite" firearm is:
Marlin-39a .22LR Lever Rifle

Welcome abroad. I too am an absolute Toyota fan. In fact Toyota is my sponsorer for the Desert Off road rallies I do in Dubai, UAE.

I drive a modified Landcruiser Prado 3400 cc V6 for my Desert Trips and Landcruiser VXR 4700 cc V 8 in the city. One day this too will go to the desert, perhaps when I buy the new Landcruiser 130 later this year.

FJ 40 is a real classic which is very popular in Dubai. We still have FJ 40 pick ups on the farms here.

The new version FJ cruiser which is the derivation of a concept car is available in the UAE now. Does well in the desert.

Along with the G Wagen 460/461 body type diesel, the Toyota FJ series along with Nissan Patrol are among my favorite 4WDs, you can't go wrong with either of them.
