Traditional naga shooting

The 52nd traditional shooting competition was held on Sunday at Jakha Tsiezou organized by the Jakhama Youth Society.
With the observation of the local Chiinyi festival, the annual shooting competition was participated by around 150 youth.
Kikovizo Zhotso was declared winner and was awarded with attractive cash prize. Supportive spirit from the Bilkul club and many other local youth club from the village has organized different Indigenous games and entertainment for the people.
The traditional event has been held with much enthusiastic spirit with overwhelming participation especially by the Youth of Jakhama

cant remember the events name in which betting is done on archery shots in shillong .

The shooting must have been great fun. Is that a musket in the background? Are you guys using powder? Awesome

Its called "teer" i think... Someone should start a thread on betting and archery in meghalaya. i am pretty sure it will be an interesting read for all the members

Did you guys not see the fresh water fish . Shot with the muzzle loader I suppose.
Only thing missing (in the snap) is the Booze.
P.S.: Why is no one wearing the "traditional" Red and black wool Naga shawls.
I have one at home. picked it up when my father was posted in Shillong.
