Double Yuck!
Anyway, for years I've been buying and using the old Duckback ankle lengths types from Police and CRPF stores for everyday wear while at work on my land. Cost just about 150 bucks and last long. What could be better?

Long time ago, vikram, hamiclar,grumpy, Mack The Knifebana, yours truly etc were discussing safari shoes from some other maker (I forget which) they too were made from some plainsgame skin and I remember us talking about us not liking them.
And the best part is, compared to these nikes, they were like Lobbs.
Maybe vikram can refresh my old-man-memory

I am sure some clowns who know next to nothing will be sporting this awesomely awful travesty of a footwear in some highly expensive super luxury "safari", you know, the ones with AC tents..... Sun City?

Yup, you'll find these 'Police Stores' in just about any major town.

I thought Duckback was a Calcutta based company. I don't see their products in the market these days, but theirs was the best stuff. Meanwhile look around for stores that the local cops go to, the kind where shoes, socks, lathis, leather belts, epaulet pips and stuff like that is sold. I'm sure you'll find them. Its likely that these stores would be in the interior parts of the city.
