An interesting anecdote:
tonight, just half an hour back, i was returning home in my santro, alone,
a guy on a motorbike stopped me on an intersection and started arguing..............
(i had to put down the window to talk to him)
his complaint was that he had used the dipper and I didnt let him pass.
I talked to him very politely , said sorry and asked him, ..........agar bahut pareshaani hai toh bolo........
he then wanted me out of the car........... i had no choice, so I pulled out my pistol and charged it, and by the time i could open the door of the car, he was gone...................
he must have seen me pulling out and charging the pistol
I also didn't pursue him, but I waited on the next crossing to see is someone is following............ nothing
I waited at my house................ nothing!
i hope all is well
and i hope i dont have to do this again

Sounds like you did good. You defused the situation and no one got hurt.
I have one question though, why didn't you just ignore him? You were in a vehicle that weighs significantly more than his. He would not have been able to do anything if you had decided not to stop.

@ xl_target I had stopped at an intersection when he came and partially blocked me, got down from the bike and knocked at my window

Ok, I understand.
Please note, I think you did fine in this encounter. I'm just trying to come up with alternative actions that might be possible.
Maybe next time,in a similar situation, ignore the window tapping, gun your engine, move forward slowly as if you are going to run his bike over.
I'd be willing to bet, he will leave the side of your car and run to save his bike. Maybe just the threat would be enough to get him off your back. Or back up a little and go around his bike.
You never know, he might have his buddies hidden by the intersection (that he chose to block your car at). Once you get out of the car, you are vulnerable, gun or no gun.

A similar thing happened to me and in addition, he started threatening me and demanding money, Being in a "safe" "developed" country, The govt has decided we dont need handguns and banned them and we cant carry firearms without reason and certainly cant use them for defence.
Luckily an unmarked police car came to investigate and he had the nerve to tell them i had hit him and was driving in a car without brakes.

That would have made the situation worse! But still better than the situation....... Where he had one and I didn't!

Dear paragvns,
I really appriciate ur honest way of sharing this incident, I think what u did was your own decision at that moment and no one can question that. A similar type of incident happened in Mumbai few years back. The gentleman who pulled out his licensed revolver after a road rage was film star NANA PATEKER and on the other side was one Mr. Goyenka a well connected, well read and not to mention an industrialist( a rich guy
). this Mr. goyenka also ran from the spot but to the nearest police station to register his complaint about what happened. Nana Patekar was arrested his weapon seiged and was produced in the court. Pls try to find out what happened afterwards. As per my knowledge NANA has surrenderd his licence .
Not to mention I do own hand gun for last 17 years but will never pull it out till I am in the gravest extreme. alot depend on who is opposite to u when u want to flash ur weapon. not every one will run after seeing a weapon some can challenge u without a gun also so what one will do just shoot that guy because he stopped someones car.
Regards,
Kuwar.

Dear Kuwar,
As far as I remember, Nana had POINTED the gun at him. Nana was at major fault.
Paragvns just charged it. he didnt point it at anyone. I believe anyone would do that. If we cant even charge it in such scary times, then whats the point of fighting for RKBA, and keeping a gun.
Thanks,
N.
