Indians For Guns

1If i dont own a gun and a licence but obvious .can i still possess empty cartriges ? an where can i get them from?
2 if i do apply and possess a .22 gun licence on the basis of target shooting join a club do i join a club first or apply first?
3 if my ammunition is rationed how am i able to practice with limited rounds? it is like travel so far juat fire 3 shots and the instructor tells you and guides you better luck next month as you have exhausted months supply but be sure to come next week
4 if i apply for a 12 bore do i get a sawed off /smaller "Lupara", backpacker version for easy storage .
5 is is compulsory to buy ammunition ? if i am buying 12 gauge gun can i just not have blanks, Rubber slugs , Bird bombs, Screechers,Disintegrator or Hatton or Rock salt ?

4. No there are limitations on barrel length. Storage is the least of your concerns.
5. It isnt cumpulosry to buy ammunition, though I am not sure what good a gun would be without any.

In my opinion you should not get a gun, then again that is my opinion.

Owning a gun has been my dream ,but you know no matter how cautious(me i am over over cautious ) you are accidents do happen and we all we are just humans with different snap points and hot buttons ,sometimes things do happen that we regret later,and wind up saying "something snapped in me he was pushing too far he was hitting my red button"
respected sir do you get my point Guns knives weapons give us a sense of security 100% but even a false bravado please forgive me for saying so. we have seen in reel life too feuds and how a simpleton becomes a dacoit !life imitates art.

Your security is not dependent on them. They are a tool in enforcing it, however your mindset is more important.
A willingness to employ the tools available to you is a lot more important than a weapon. Being able to live with the aftermath of an exchange is not something to be taken lightly.

If you do want to own weapons, please learn the responisbility that comes with it. Knowledge is another tool you would require.

I hear this often:
"I can't trust myself with a gun. I would lose my temper and shoot someone".
"If you have a gun in your house, you are more likely to shoot yourself accidentally".

Just remember, automobiles kill more people than guns but people would laugh at you if you went around saying; "I might lose my temper and kill someone with my car, so I'd better not drive". Do you see people regularly "snapping" and running people over with their cars? Sure, it happens but the vast majority of drivers don't do that. Accidents also happen at a much greater rate with automobiles. Does that mean that you don't go near/use cars or buses, etc, because "accidents happen"? Just like you have to learn the rules of the road and how to properly operate an automobile before you start driving, you should learn gun safety rules and how to properly operate a firearm before you start handling one. You might say that we can't equate automobiles with guns but I say that they are both just tools to help us live our lives.

As for the bravado part; that comes from within you. A gun is an inanimate tool, like a hammer or a pencil. It cannot make you feel anything.
Please pay attention to this: only you can make yourself feel a particular way.

As far as the misuse of weapons and fueds go, that has been going on since man first picked up a rock or a stick. Most people are perfectly able to not hit other people with those rocks (that are still available everywhere, by the way and no license is required). Some people would like to use those rocks to hit other people but refrain from doing so because of laws, fear of punishment, etc. The people who actually follow through with the rock are what we call criminals. What you are saying is the you feel that if you have a gun, you will automatically turn into a criminal because you have no control over your behavior.

Before you get upset, please re-read you post. I have just elaborated on what you have said.
The excuses you are using have no basis in reality and are a favorite scare tactic used by the anti's. The anti's feel that people are sheep who have no control over themselves and must be told what to do and how to live (for their own good).

So, if you really feel you have no control over yourself, then maybe owning a gun is not a good idea for you.

Hey why don't you begin small. To use Xls example of a car, how about a bump and go like the ones in a fair. So the gun version of that would be air soft, keep a semi-auto version, see how it makes you feel. Then move to paintball, if you still feel like Rambo then stop at a water pistol. This way you feel like you have a gun and are also a hundred percent safe from your own lack of control.

See i have been brought up in a household where even video games were considered bad and talking to girls(they show you their things and lead you wayward) was taboo!bad guys with had long hair earrings were for homosexuals and wearing a black leather jacket is you are one among them!no motorcycles death machines !Gunsthat we are discussing about were for soldiers and police !you get a gun and neither one of them you are a criminal! i still remember asking for an air gun 30 yrs ago dad said "you are cracked and angered often you will kill someone"!

See Kenhypno, while it may look like we are chastising you, that is really not true.
The intent is to sting you into thinking about firearms logically. Much of what you will hear and read about firearms will be emotionally driven and often quite far from the truth.
You will also realize that there are a large number of people out there (especially journalists) who don't have a clue when talking about firearms. Then you wonder, if they are so wrong about this, what else are they making up?

Once you can see beyond the emotions, you will be able to make up your own mind.

I have made up my mind i want a .44 magnum and .22 lr and a shotgun ! but magnums are prohibitive bore in India so i guess i applied for a license that A hole Kasab made hell for us all! thay are very strict on offering licenses and stopped doing so giving reasons of security and red alert situations in Maharashtra post terror attacks ! Personally i think it should be the other way round the should allow all of us to bear arms to protect ourselves post terroer attacks !

I am 6ft 200lbs, fully capable of killing someone with my bare hands, does that mean I will kill if I get pushed. Violence has nothing to do with firearms, contrary to pop culture owning a firearm makes you more aware of lethality.
