I just realised we are into March. The third month of the year and I have not been to the range. No reloading, no new guns, only ordered 1K of 7.5 swiss and 5K of CCI standard .22 lr. Haven shot anything this year.

Hai MoA you are making me jealous. 1K 7.5x55mm Swiss is just a dream for most of us. And 5K .22 LR....... Man I'm drooling over this. BTW which country are you from?

LOL MOA, you guys still have a lot of snow on the ground?
I haven't done much apart for a few hundred in 9mm and .40. Range trips have been hurried excursions and digging the brass out of the snow is a real PITA.

XL: No snow on the ground. Still get some frost on the ground though. Hoping to get to the range this weekend. Need to work out some stress and send some ammo downrange. Having issues with storage.
Maybe will go shoot the K31 especially if the diopter arrives.
Priyan: Am from India though I dont live there any longer.
Am based in EU.
Baljit on an aside which M1 do you have. I have the opportunity to buy a Winchester made one, and was wondering what reloading for it is like?

Hell guys... I wish I was from USA. I'd have brought a M60 and spray bullets on the range. lol still I can dream
PS: Thinking of applying in the US green card lottery. If I win I'd buy a house in Alaska. Haha I heard Alaska government pays about $1000 to every permanent resident there.
God bless America

Indians dont qualify for the lottery so beware of some agent promising otherwise.
Alaska is a nice place but beware. Coming from a temperate/tropical country like India most people cant bear the subzero temperatures and the winters are one long night.
the money initiative exists because many people dont want to live there.
Even a place like scotland can get on many peoples nerves let alone alaska.
This post is not meant to deride alaska in any manner but to tell people about some realities of living in sub arctic climate.

Thanks for letting me know, my head were blown apart when I saw the post
I was thinking of applying in the official site of US government for the lottery.
Man I'm ready to be frozen in Alaska just to own some NFA stuff. Let's hope a legal alien can buy NFA stuff in USA. I know there's no mall, disco or stuff like that in Alaska but I don't care as I never went to a mall or disco in my life. Also I can't live in crowded areas like NYC or LA as I'm from a village where you can barely see a human being on the way to office or school. My second place of choice is Fort Knox, AZ but I heard life is very expensive there.

MoA,
I feel sad for you, I managed to shoot 40 pellets from my ihp 35, about 100 pellets from my 54 airking this year alone. I hope this make you jealous of me
. Give me a opening to come to the EU will take it with both hands.
reg,

MOA, every time you put a post like this, you remind of Lucy Montgomery's Italian cleaning lady in the BBC sketch show "Tittybangbang" (Oh-don't-look-at-me-I'm-so-shy) :mrgreen
Are you running similar threads in other firearm forums where members get to shoot more than Gsmith 0.177s, or is this an effort purely for poor IFG's benefit?

Oh lets not talk about the cleaning lady.
They have given us enough grief already.

good for you.
I have heard many people say these things. (myself included)
Unfortunately for a person from india 'crowded' has a different meaning.
Freezing: oh that has another meaning too.
And lets not even talk about the darkness.
I know there's no mall, disco or stuff like that in Alaska
Please tell me how do you 'know' this?
Last i heard this is the 21st century and yes there are towns , cities there with running water and electricity.
We do have members from there and let them confirm for you that there malls and 'discos' there.
Where do you think people shop?
And no, was not even talking about malls or discos.
Its very unfortunate that we equate things with civilisation and progress. Whenever I talk to friends/family at home or in delhi, i am always being told about new malls that have opened up or things like that.
Let me assure you that a mall is meant for shopping only. Mostly its kids who go and 'hang out' in them.

Well, I have few online friends from Alaska they told me that malls are only in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Sitka and few places like that. I definitely don't wanna live in those places as they are getting expensive. BTW the main reason I wanna live in Alaska is that it has the best gun law in all the states of USA IMO.
EDIT: Tax is lower in there too, I heard only municipalities collect tax there, they have no state tax. I'd love to if someone confirms it as I'm kinda confused about this matter.

In most countries i have visited, malls and 'discos' are only in cities and towns not in villages or countriside.
Alaska is that it has the best gun law in all the states of USA IMO.
can you please explain and tell me what advantages alaska has in terms of gun ownership vis a vis places like vermont/montana etc.
