This is truly sad. When one has expert craftsmen within the nation, those folks should be encouraged and their wares be allowed to compete freely world-wide, as a statement of the nation's skills and artisanship. As the article says, nobody is going to choose these works of art to commit mayhem - it just isn't practical.

It reminds me of the silly laws that supposedly protect the public in the USA, where a bayonet is considered "evil," as if a bank robber is going to be empowered with putting a bayonet on the end of a long arm.

Any sensible person can see that such measures make no sense, but because it appeases ignorant people and anti-gun bigots, it is a pragmatic choice to deprive another group of their rights to provide a placebo to others.

How sad, indeed!

Hi Mr gwattal, forgive me in advance for voicing my opinion :D ,i wont be able to sympathize with the ailing industry for the simple reason that till the time A/A Dealers were paying these guys upfront and waiting for an year plus for the stock to be sent, all was well with the industry, now the td dealers after realizing that its better to invest into imported weapons then be running after these thapis/dandas and these guys cant hustle it anymore, the industry is ailing. My dear do read the for sale thread/or visit your friendly A/A dealership and see the kind of prices people pay for imported guns,if these guys could get their act right and make guns like the way they are to be made, the industry wont be ailing,Hollands made the 2 piece ejector in 1911,for crying out loud, tells these guys to copy the same,12 Bore Gun making isnt Rocket Science.people pay in lacs for a 35 + year old IMPORTED gun,am sure if our local guys start making decent guns they can have the industry back in black, the best part is they have the know how to do it :deadhorse:
