Per my understanding, Yes, if its Gun Politics and Politicians Associated with them. Otherwise we have many forums and blogs to debate over political issues.

As Saptarshi said,unless the political posts are related to RKBA,they cannot be posted on IFG. For good reasons,IMHO.
