The year in Shooting

Ah well so as the year comes to close, 2010 was a little unique.

I did not have to swap out a barrel for the first time in many a year. Which essentially means that I shot less that 2500 rounds out of the 6BR or the .22-250 which I dont think I shot at all this year.

So what did I shoot this year?
About 3K of 7.62x39, about 1 K of 6 BR, about 500 7.5 Swiss, 1-2 K 9mm, about 2K .22 LR, about 500 12 GA most of which were slugs and maybe about 1K or so of mixed calibers. Guns that did not get used at all this year included the .22-250 and my .222 Rem Magnum.

The year has been strange in that I did not buy any primers or powders per se. Didnt do a lot of reloading compared to other years, and certainly for reasons beyond my control didnt do a lot of shooting either.

The only weapons I got this year were the SGTW and the .45-70. Didnt really sell any weapons either.

Some random pictures of the year that was:

Grewal:

.22 LR version (Erma). The pistols are both Cz 75's

Dr. jaykumar I probably do have enough for a small skirmish not enough for a war though. Someday if I get lucky.

So what did I shoot this year?
About 3000 of 7.62x39, about 1000 of 6 BR, about 500 7.5 Swiss, 1-2000 9mm, about 2000 .22 LR, about 500 12 GA most of which were slugs and maybe about 1000 or so of mixed calibers. Guns that did not get used at all this year included the .22-250 and my .222 Rem Magnum.
3000+1000+500+2000+500+1000= 8000

Now I know the reason for all the Air Pollution and Global Warming
I will probably not shoot more than half of that in my lifetime. Cheers.

Prashant the amount shot this year in total was less than what I will typically use in .22 LR alone.

In '09for example I replaced two barrels at 2500 and 2800 plus normal shooting that included about 8K in .22 LR. So this was a low shooting year.

Baljit:

Unless you are going to be consistently shooting 1000-1500 yards consistently I would not reccomend a .338 LPM.
Should you decide to buy one, please do consider the Trg 42 and AI AW as you prime options. A muzzle brake at the minimum is a pre-requisite ideally get a suppressor.

MoA, Yes i have planing to shoot 1000 -1500 yards, i did consider Trg 42 but i am not going to buy this toy becouse i shoot this toy in 300WM and i did not like it.i did not like the gripe, i did not like the stock, yes muzzle brack is requride on this cal., my wife's cousin have a 50BMG Cal. and i shoot that toy at 1000 yards,i did not like 50cal,i need a toy so i can shoot long range up to 1500 Yards with medium recoil that's way i like to buy in 338LPM.So i can shoot consistently long range.
