Plug Fire / Cap Fire Pistols

Plug Fire / Cap Fire Pistols

Post by Anand » Thu Oct 14, 2010 2:10 am

Hello all,
Just got back from a 10 day trip to Hong Kong & Macau! I went to Kwong wa Street in Mongkok, Kowloon to check out some Radio Controlled kits(my other hobby  ) and there were some nice Airsoft guns and "Model Guns" also called Plug Fire or Cap Fire guns. Some of you may already be familiar with these. i had read alot about them while inthe USA but never had one. They are exact 1:1 replicas of the actual firearms and shoot a shell casing with cap in it akin to our Diwali pistols. The caps are replaceable and are quite complecated :? . But the shells eject and you get a small muzzle flash and smoke from the barrel and ejection port. :D . they are not as loud as the 8mm blank guns most commonly seen. But the weight and feel is awesome.
I did not end up buying any because I was travelling with my family and didnt want to be stopped by our Customs Officers  well theres alway next time. They range from about $900 HK to about $16000 HK in cost and there is a hige selection of models to choose from, Pistols, Revolvers and Assault rifles etc.
