Hi Mods, All,
I didnt know where to post this but it is important. I had ordered a few things from airgunofarizona, amazon etc. Some how my credit card was hacked & now i have been charged almost 150 usd from the sites i have never visited. Americanexpress has blocked my cards on my complaint & will revert all the charges once i fill the form & send it to them. ALL be careful when ordering stuff from abroad.

It cant be amazon, chances of data being pulled out from Amazon site is highly unlikely, make sure your own PC is safe. there is no sitting data collector on ur machine
I am not sure on the other site that you have mentioned.
General thumb rule is make sure that you are using a site, which is marked hacking safe and its a known site, dont venture into unknow site, if you are using the site for first time, its always better to collect the review/feedback about that site from other review sites like shopping.com

As a precaution you can follow these three precautions:
1) Use virtual card for online transactions. I do not know if American-express has the option of virtual card. HDFC Bank has option of virtual card, where you can create a virtual card of around the same amount of purchase. It lasts for around 24-48hrs after creation.
2) Ensure your computer is not affected by spy-ware etc. In case it is infected, whatever you type, click and navigate can be captured and transmitted to some other computer. Avoid computers in internet cafes for online transactions as those computers might be affected.
3) Ensure you do not click on any hyper link in email or web-page for any banking website or online transaction website. Instead always go directly to website by typing the web address in address bar of browser.

if your card info was stolen, then it is from your computer and not from web sites like airgunofarizona and amazon.
problem is that those guys who releasing viruses, before release checking the virus on most commonly used antiviruses too. So you may have updated antivirus running and it is no guaranty from having trojan and no guaranty for safe use of card or netbanking. I would suggest to buy and regularly update kaspersky anti virus, it is russian as most of trojans on net russian too.
another good thing to do - never use Windows for your online bank connections and cc purchases. Instead you can download Uboontu,
http://www.ubuntu.com it is free, and get it installed on separate disk or run it on Vmware.

Bro this suggestion is very difficult for most of the ppl, only software geeks use it, Most ppl wont even know the terms that you have used.
On the second note, why VMware, jst have dual booting and use Linux for online transaction, but even this will not stop the credit card info being stolen from the site, for that the site has be secured. So best is to use trusted sites, which show the SSL certificates and have rating given by others.

using uboontu very easy, all you need web browser, it is possible to use it as life CD, just boot from CD
Vmware is best because it emulates all hardware drivers and you will have no problem to use it different computers and run windows and uboonto same time without rebooting, no limits what you can learn, I'm using it for many years and I'm not a geek
my point is that you will always have data lost and bank account cleaned, unless you will move on safe OS.
