A cat is giving trouble to us since last one month. it has brought its one month old kitten along with and keeps bringing dead rats, squirrels, frogs for the kitten. It keeps shitting here n there. It is all very troublesome.Besides that cat is also not considered ood omen. I am too much fedup with it.

We have tried to catch it and get her away but she comes back all the time

Can any one tell me please how to get rid of it ???? Any cat spray or herb whose smell could keep her off our house ????

dude we too need this suggestion... we cant kill them we can just shoo them away , but it just cumes back. so need a permanent solution to it.

Yeah thats the problem we cant kill them ... bloddy cat is giving me headache I feel nauseating when i have to clean all the shit it does ...

1) How about getting a bottle of Tiger/ Lion/ Leopard urine from the local zoo and sprinkling it all over the compound? Should make the pussycat wary of frequenting the place... Of course I can't quite picture how the zoo keepers would go about procuring a bottle of the stuff for you

2) Get a dog

Some times fire crackers, the small variety, the red and green types smaller than the ones they light during weddings, a paper packed lot costs around Rs 30/-can do the trick.You may have to repeat the trick several times before they get the idea that its not the safest of places. Cats hate sudden noises. With fire crackers they will not get injured either. You can get it cheap at a wholesellor. Please do not use big bombs, they will not only scare the cat they might frighten and annoy your neighbour too.

small cats, big cats they behave alike they own the den. you cant throw them out too, they keep finding their way back. I have heard of tiger urine showing its effect on dogs, but don't think they will work on cats. You see they are family!!!
1) Try for a cat predator's urine, fox or wolf.
2) online classified ad, mention that you have a kitty with personality, there are a lot of cat lovers out there!

Make a spray with water and vinegar -- cats don't like that. You might also mix in some Cayenne pepper for good measure. Lemon peels and citrus might also help.

good post.i have a similar issue.
a freakin black cat keeps on visiting my backyard and rips open the garbage bags.
ill try the vinegar cayenne pepper trick.
if that doesnt work then im thinking of making some kind of trap/snare and getting rid of that damn pest.
apologies to all cat lovers but i consider this a feral cat if it has strayed away from a domesticated environment.

I have issue with crows. They are in abundance in my colony and seem to be increasing in numbers every day. My house is surrounded by greenery with a lot of fruit bearing trees which in turn attract a lot of beautiful variety of birds, big and tiny. These crows chase away the song birds , destroy their nests, eat up their young and eggs. I would have shot them down twenty years ago but now I just can't think of taking a life. Can anyone suggest an alternative ?? I am sure some of you may surely have the solution to this problem.

try using a catapult and whack the 'kau kau' out of them.
hit a few and they wont come back.

Marksman - .22 or .177 is the most effective way other alternatives are too noisy and temporary.

Ricky - catch the mother cat with the kittens and hand em over to CUPA or PETA they will take care of it for you.

If you can catch the cat, put it in a sack so it cant see outside and then leave it some 5 kms away from your home. 99% it wont be able to make its way back to your place.
Other options can be tried too.

Thats a great idea same here cats ...... they shit around our apartment passage ....... making rubbish here and derr...
will put them in borivali natinal park area.......good idea
