Just a note to let you know that as a result of this board, I am now following Indian news more closely, even if my understanding is a little weak.I have always been (mostly) pro-Indian and paid close attention to President Bush's nuclear energy pact with India. I have long thought that enhanced relations with India will be a significant benefit of his Presidency. Prime Minister Singh of India was in the news a good deal at that time, as was the President's trip there.
Like most Americans, it takes me a tick of time to change my thinking from on hearing "Indian" from immediately picturing our red tribesmen over here to that country over there and I'll bet our state governors of Indian extraction (as in that country over there) have stories to tell of confusion among their constituents.
In any case,I am following Indian news more closely these days (including your current strike). The internet has its advantages in terms in term of cross country interaction. I have ceased being amazed at your excellent English, but am still quite impressed by the denizens of this board. Of course, chances are you may not be entirely reflective of Indians at large, but nevertheless..
