Also TIL- http://www.mku.com is the Indian company that supplies bullet proof vests and ballistic Helmets to many of the armed forces in the world.
Every day, millions of soldiers across the world, from Turkey to the United States, don Kevlar helmets. One in every 10 of these helmets is rolled off the production line of M Kumar Udyog (MKU), a small Kanpur-based company that cranks out a staggering 25,000 ballistic helmets—enough to equip over two army divisions—in a month
MKU is one of the biggest success stories in the nascent, but fastgrowing, private sector defence industry. Seven years after the doors were thrown open to private participants, they now produce world-class helmets, electronic processors, nuclear fallout shelters, simulators and unmanned aerial vehicles.

1. S.F. Battalion of the parachute regiment( formerly called the paracommandos)

Thanks AB, what about 4 Vikas, the Strong arm of RAW. This would probably have volunteers from the above units. Is this similar to the US 1st SFOD-D or the Russian Vympel Spetnaz units, cream de la cream of the special forces doing all kinds of James Bond like Operations...

The Special Frontier Force, Special services bureau, nubra guards, assam rifles, special protection group etc are not under the Min. of Defence.
I figured we were talking about military special forces

Its an unofficial name, thats all.
