A shootout ensued today barely 5 days after the blasts happened at Jamia Nagar (Okhla) near my office. 
. Two terrorists were killed, one captured and two fled the scene. Other DD's please confirm if today's plan stands or do we adjourn ? South Delhi is teeming with traffic and cops right now especially the Okhla Area.

The state borders with Noida were sealed but they have been opened up now. According to news channels, police have taken the dead terrorists and captured ones away. DDs in south Delhi would be able to better describe the ground situation.

Hi Folks,was following the papers and tele with regards to this encounter that took place,and must say that it was very dissapointing to watch the cops running about in t-shirts,jeans and Ak-47's.Even the inspector who died was not wearing any kind of protection-although the papers claim he was on a recce mission! Why does it not strike our law and order people that we are dealing with terroist who could be armed.Even the camo body armour plates worn are very cumbersome!not really fit for close quater street fighting.They need to look west at the swat teams in the US or even the Isreal defence doctrine and learn something!
My guess is that the poor chaps have already put in many request but they must be lying in some babu's office gathering dust!
