A Walk Through The Tbilisi Flea Market!

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Vikram,
What a wonderful wonderful photo essay !
I have spent hours at flea markets in Egypt, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Nepal but this one stands a world apart :D

Thanks for sharing, Vikram!

The bad economic conditions post the USSR breakup can be understood by the number of medals on sale. Why would a decorated war hero, or his descendants, want to sell his medal?
Cheers!

Great photos Vikram.
About halfway down, you have a picture captioned "Again, modern repros or genuine old ones?" where there are 3 items, with two pepperbox-like guns on each end. In the center is an odd shaped device that I cannot tell exactly what it is.
Tim, if you look carefully, it's a miniature crossbow.

Hello Vikram
What a wonderful collage! gives the viewer a glimpse of the Georgian Culture. The first thing that strikes me is the 'pride' in their bearing, which remains unfazed by the rough times they have been through. Some of the paintings reflects this 'spirit' in abundant measure.
You have managed to bring this aspect very artfully from your photographs.
Best Regards

Had missed this somehow - Beautiful. Better late than never. Wish I could pay the country a visit someday. Hope English is spoken there. Thank you for sharing, Vikram.
