Child rapist killer killed in "Encounter" in Coimbatore

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Egging on & encouraging policemen to take the law into their own hands by condoning such extra judicial killings - thereby allowing them to become judge, jury & executioner is a sure-fire recipe for disaster... won't be long before these same cops are trampling over the civil rights of ordinary citizens, how smug will we be then?

The guy snatched guns from cops??? WTF the cops were doing? Didn't they cuff him.
@SYED833 If it was really a fake encounter and I was a eye-witness I'd have said in the court "The child rapist grabbed a gun from a cop shot two of them, so they had to shoot him"
When I'll get to shoot a gun?

One more thing that has to be noted is that both the accused were taken to the same place of crime in separate police vans. I can understand if it's a jeep and there's not enough room for both of the criminals and their police, but why transport then in two separate police vans?
Follow up news in local papers show the police smiling and accepting bouquets and sweets from the public who congratulated the police on their good work.
But if it was a real encounter, then by definition isn't it an act of self defense by the police to save their own lives? So why be happy and accept the public's praises instead of explaining they were only defending themselves.
I am not saying what happened was wrong. I like everyone else here is happy that the monster got what he deserved. General consensus here in my city is that it was indeed a fake encounter, but everyone is just too happy about it to think otherwise.

Innocent until proven guilty, that's why we have a judicial system;I agree it is seriously flawed, but encouraging cops into taking the law into their own hands is just not right. The same cops(I'm 100% sure) will in the future(or have already) book some law abiding citizen for shooting an intruder in self defence!! :deadhorse:
