I wonder if any IFG Delhi members have experience with setting i Pod i Trip frequency in their cars. With so many FM channels in Delhi area which is the best frequency to tune the i Trip FM transmitter in these parts ?

well here goes my 2 cents worth. connect the i trip to the device and switch on the device ,the i trip display will have a frequency on it. set the same on ur fm band(irrespective of the fact if it is a broadcasting frequency) and keep the i pod close to the head unit. It will give you better sound quality if you set the itrip on lx mode. alternatively you can search for a fm frequency with no broadcasts and simply put the same on the i trip .. hope it helps... the trick is keeping the i pod close to the head unit. i personally use the former method as less effort is required...

Here's a list of the major frequencies used by the FM stations in Delhi:
  • 91.1
  • 92.7
  • 94.3
  • 95.0
  • 98.3
  • 102.6
  • 104
You can tune your iPod to any other FM frequency and it should work pretty well.
In the past I played Internet Radio(Yahoo Launchcast,Wolf FM)on my notebook and used a short range FM transmitter to set up a frequency for my Car Radio to pick up. It worked like a song(pun intended) .
With iPod its a lot easier :), enjoy.
