I have friend over there in france who will be coming back in may so i thought why not bring back an air rifle with him . So i 'researched' on the net and found some disappointing news for me
the first one that only french residents could buy AR and they too need a shooting licence (its different from hunting licence) , buying a AR needs a photo id even for them
the more disappointing news was that they can only buy an Air rifle below 10 joule of ME (aprox 7 lb-ft)
and for all that hassle they were as expensive legally as it is in india
a Daina 21 was Rs. 21,000/- , a Mod 52 was Rs. 53,000/-
add to that the drama at the airport after landing , the customs etc and i dropped the idea
but i need a decent airgun badly
so could anyone with a NRAI or state rifle asso membership volunteer to recieve an airgun on my behalf if i order one from BAR or pyramid. all payment of custom, frieght will be paid in advance. I could not go 1000 km all the way to mumbai to face an interview of Maharashtra Rifle Asso nor shell out rs. 30,000/- for life membership.
May God help you for helping a man in distress
Anyone want to get my gun

Order it by post and goto the customs to clear it as it is allowed duty free now.
Or ask gsmith and co. in pune
