The Economic Times on 11/7/2017 reported that with the introduction of GST , the price of shortguns is expectedto be reduced by Rs.2000/- and that of rifles manucatured in India by about Rs.5000/- .No chage is expected in the price of pistols and revolvers as both will have a GST of 28 %.This is a very welcome development, as most of the private security guards are required to purchase theirown weapon before they can apply for the job in any Private Security Company.
