i need it for the movie i am planning to start shooting in july 3rd week
i tried looking on google but no use only USA-wala shops popped up

no good all they have are non-firing gun. what i need is more of blank guns pistols revolvers machine guns likes of Ak 47 and stuff

Dear Subodh, Since you are producing film, there will be a production manager who will arrange the entire thing required for shooting. or you can conduct the set property deportment people (Art Director) who also arrange, even if not possible conduct law college road, Film institute there a lab manager Mr. Ayyadurai or MR. Mohan who will help you. with regards. Jeya kumar.

thanks you will get in touch with them soon and for PM well this film is very low budget cannot afford to hire PM

we are five people crew and multiple talent so trying to find the required props myself.

Hi subodh,

Since you are on a very tight budget, may i suggest a cheaper alternative? Buy full scale plastic BB guns. They look realistic, and you can add muzzle flares in post production.
From personal experience of filming with guns:
There are dummy guns, and there are real guns that fire blanks for film shoots, unless I'm mistaken. The dummy guns look more fake than the BB rifles you get at toy shops.
And the real guns are hired out but always with a caretaker, who will bill you separately from the gun rental. Also you have to pay for each blank cartridge fired.

Just like the OP, here, I require model guns for filming. Here's my original post:

Hello,

I am short filmmaker from Mumbai. My friend & I have been making films since almost 8 years now. Our next film is going to be a big leap from what we've done in the past. It is an action film, with mostly Close Quarter & Hand to Hand Combat, but has a few scenes with gun combat. I have a Tokyo Marui, 9mm Beretta (Gas Blowback Airsoft Gun). It is perfectly modelled and looks great on camera. I am looking for something similar, probably a Desert Eagle or even an SMG or a Shotgun with similar detailing as my Tokyo Marui, if not better. They dont have to be "functioning" or blow-back. But they should look "REALISTIC". If any of you know any place in Mumbai or across India that give such guns on hire (if reasonably priced I dont mind buying 1, but most Airsoft Gun sellers in India charge thrice to four times the actual price). Mostly we're using for hiring for a couple of days. Do help us out, as we're doing this mostly as a "Passion" more than anything else.

Any help will be appreciated! Thank you.. BTW, I just checked out collectorsheritage.com and as expensive as it is, they've got some brilliantly looking guns. But as they don't hire, it's a bit out of our film budget. Even we dont have a Production Manager, so it's literally all done by doing research online (just like this :p )

There seem to be a couple of shops in Mumbai near Lalbaug. This is pure hearsay - I have seen costume hire shops, but not (fake) gun hire shops - they are supposed to be in the lanes somewhere.
