Post by Biren » Tue Aug 20, 2013 10:02 am

Dear GBM,

Its a thank you post to you for enriching & guiding members and other who browse forum to understand arms act and other related nuisances..In furtherance to same let me request you to share if you donnt mind your experience in getting arms license for self. What all you went thorough during the process, the harassment if any you faced and how you overcame the same.Whether you had to invoke "right to life" during the course?

Do you practice law or have taught self law?

Also if you can put pictures of the sweet outcome of your effort, it will be very nice.

Rgds,
Biren

Thank you for your comments.
Do you practice law or have taught self law?
No I do not practice law as a profession. At the most one may consider to be a humble student of law trying to learn a b c of law.
Also if you can put pictures of the sweet outcome of your effort, it will be very nice.
Outcome is already on this website. There are many members who have followed the legal path and got the license issued.
Hope you would continu pouring-in best of yours to all of us.
Of course I will share whatever little knowledge I have. If anyone disagrees with my understanding of the matter, please let me know with proper reasoning, I am open to correct my understanding.

Dear GBM,

After going through your posts, i say you are a man committed towards a noble cause.. with selfless motive. Again let me request you to share and enlighten us by sharing your experience as how you got your license (sorry as i donnt know if you have 3 or 4) the issues you faced. There is nothing then a first hand experience which i belive other members will also be interested to know.

Also if you can tell us of the weapons you own, which one is your favourite and why? Never i came across you boasting abt the gems you have like some do in this forum.

Never applied. Till now have been spending my energy understanding the tricks played in Arms Act 1959  May be apply in future and go till Supreme Court. Ideally NAGRI should be doing this.

Ancestral and traditional family weapons. Non is favorite.

Yes it is most sad aspect that some are only interested in somehow getting a "license" for themselves, boasting what they have purchased even though that license may get revoked after some time. They are usually happy with 1-2 guns and 10-20 cartridges annually! Never look into the deeper legal games that have been played with them to divest them of their rights.
