Yahoo news---Anti Gun?

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Yahoo news---Anti Gun?

Post by prashantsingh » Wed May 15, 2013 9:13 pm

I logged on the Yahoo news and saw a heading today which said

"Man kills cousin for 30 lakh".

"Man looses IPL bets, kidnaps and kills cousin."

There was this photograph of a bunch of .22 cartridges on top of the heading.
So I got a little curious and read on.
To see if the weapon used was licenced or not.
I was shocked to know that NO weapon had been used and the victim had actually died due to blood loss caused by slitting of the wrist.
Wonder why they had put the snaps of the cartridges there?
They should have put a snap of a knife or a blade instead.
Why are these guys so anti guns?

P.S.
If someone can post the link here I will be greatful.

Most of the mainstream media is anti-gun. That includes outfits like Google, Yahoo, etc.
It is fashionable, if you are a media personality, (or outlet) to have liberal, left wing views.
In fact, most people today refer to CNN, which used to be considered a purveyor of unbiased news at one time, as the Communist News Network.
In fact, in many cases (in the US) today, it's almost like a bunch of editors from Pravda snuck over to the USA and took over the majority of the news outlets.
They are anti US Armed Forces and anti-constitutional in their basic outlook.
Part of the problem is that a lot of media in the US is owned by a small majority of people and their outlook spills over to the content of their publications.

This problem is also prevalent in US schools and institutions of higher learning. Independent thought is no longer encouraged.
People who wouldn't last ten minutes in private business head over to academic institutions and fiercely resist and attempts to test their competence levels.
At present, US secondary education is a total joke, especially in the inner cities.
They are preparing a generation of people who are capable of nothing but being on the dole.
“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense” — Winston Churchill, Oct 29, 1941

The media , whether , print or electronic , is forever hungry for more and more viewership .

Since most general public a.k.a viewers are of anti-gun mentality , the media will sing in the same tune . So it's quite natural that if a mentally ill person shoots 5 people with a firearm , the media will keep blaming the gun , the gun manufacturer ,the ammunition company , the gun dealership , the gun ranges in the city , etc and it will keep blaming them for over 6 months . But if a law abiding citizen saves 50 people from a criminal by using his legal firearm , the story will hardly get a mention .

It's a "wonderful" world in "Media-Land" .
