Posting without reading existing threads!
Why do you new users not read relevant threads before posting stuff here?
I propose that new users not be able to P.M other members or post until they have read a few important threads. Make them stickies so that they are at the top of the page and make it very clear that if found posting irrelevant threads, their privileges should be taken away for x amount of time!
Just because people are free with their time, doesnt mean you abuse that kindness!!

Yes everyone should read the existing threads and use the search box before posting questions. Most of the questions have already been asked and answered many times in this forum.

Re: Posting without reading existing threads!
we live in a instant microwave society and as such we should not need to search for things we should just make a new post and ask the questions, why should we trouble ourselves with the need to search? Do you think we have the time to search? naa bhai !

Instant gratification is the norm of todays generation. Some of the stupidest and most commonly asked questions are;
1. Please tell me which is the most powerfull airgun ? Pant, pant, pant,
Followed invariably by;
2. Where can I get one? pant, pant, pant.

I think if people are knowledgeable enough to add themselves to forum, then it should not be difficult to explore other facilities like search/advanced search etc. on forum, Adding new such threads will lead to sprawling of threads.

I strongly believe posting rights for new members must be granted only after the newbie has spent time trolling through the posts and content.
Many forums have this facility. And some like TeamBHP even ask a lot of you before granting membership.
I think a TeamBHP like move will give the Admin and Mods some insight into the newbie's intentions and seriousness of pursuit......

Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.
