Any feedback on www.oliveplanet.in ?

Post by essdee1972 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 11:15 am

Folks,

Came across a website called http://www.oliveplanet.in. It has some military type stuff (boots, tents, etc.), plus a host of military books (including ones by Rommel, Monty, Guderian, Ike, Slim, etc.). The price of the boots and other stuff seems a little high (compared to what you get in Delhi Cantt market), but the books are a steal!

Does anyone have any experience of this site? Service, delivery, reliability, etc? Any feedback will be highly appreciated!

Thanks,

EssDee
Cheers!

Hi Esdee

The online store owners operate from Banglore and they some usefull stuff they sell, but they are not stockist, so for many item you have to order and they get them for you, i have ordered a flashlight and a couple of .177 Gunsmith pellets boxes, but they are genuine people whom you can talk to and get an honest reply about the stuff they are selling.

Regards

Thanks, Frosty! They do not have pellets etc. on the website. Which means you specifically asked them for the same, I believe?

I visited this store yesterday and they pretty much had everything with them. The quality of the stuff is also good.

You can get one of the ammo boxes for about Rs.100/- from a kabadiwala Almost Rs.1200 for one is a bit too much.

Seems they ammo boxes are available in Shivajinagar here in Bangalore but the difference is that they are used and not in good condition. The ones in OP priced at 1200 are new and have a good feel but like you said seems a bit overpriced.

Knife Availability Proposal on Oliveplanet

Post by essdee1972 » Mon Feb 13, 2012 7:45 pm

Folks, I recd a mail from oliveplanet today. It seems they are trying to get knives on the site. Some examples like Cold Steel Recon Tanto, Gerber Bear Grylls, etc. were put up. It seems their facebook page has a voting option (haven't tried it as yet). I think we should vote in large numbers (sorry for sounding like a politico in election season :) ). The prices are not available, but at least we can have an Indian source for some good or decent stuff!

Cheers!
