vintage rolls hunting car - for sale..

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

I disagree with the bit about the machine guns were used for hunting tigers & the canon for elephant.

The other day (last weekend) i was watching the movie school for scoundrels (original on which the hindi movie zara si baat is based) I was thinking about this car seeing the scene in which the two thugs sell him a fake 'maharaja car' from india.

Baljit,

The canon and the machine gun appear to be later add on's.Nor do I think the howdah pistol and the guns in the gun rack are original.

I hope you do not subscribe to the view that shikar in the pre 1947 days is responsible for the current state of affairs of Indian wildlife.Almost all the present wildlife reserves in the country are former hunting grounds. The axe has caused more destruction of wildlife than the gun ever did.Hunting is a sport and it is in the interest of the hunter to have a thriving wildlife population. Most of those who style themselves as shikari's these days have none of the ethics of a hunter. What is responsible for the decline of wildlife in the country is destruction of habitat and poaching.
